Belated Birthdayness....

You know that moment when you tell yourself to specifically not forget someone's birthday, but then two days later when it is their birthday you forget to give them any acknowledgement that you actually did remember their birthday?

Because I swear I did.....

So Emily, my dear, dear, sister-in-law, I hope you will forgive me for not wishing you a happy happy birthday until now.

I hope it was great and super exciting.

Happy Belated Birthday!

Love Ya.

The Coming Week of Horror....

Finals are scary.

And disruptive.

And long.

And unfortunate.

But sometimes they are fun.

Like cooking finals where you cook and eat awesomely delicious food.

No final could be better.

I mean....who wouldn't want to cook
and eat this for a grade.

It was so good. Probably the best burger I have ever put in my mouth.

Juicy. Flavorful. Just....Awesome.

And me and my group made it. I can scarcely belief it.

But then...once the food was gone, I had to return to reality.

Studying for scary finals.

But, later, Quinci and Michelle saved me from being consumed by the dark forces

with face masks.

Chocolate unibrow, mustache, and gotee. Check.

Monte Carlo, Oreo cookies, and Selena Gomez. Check.

Eating Pizza in the Temple Parking lot. Check.

Finding out that kissing is now a commandment. Check?

Final Week...

So....I know I haven't blogged in awhile.

And I am very sorry about that.

It is finals week for the next 6 day so most of my time with be consumed with homework, studying, last minute projects, portfolios, mounting, toast with jam, short naps, white glove, packing, and finals.

So I might not have time to blog, but I promise, after all of this is over, I will be back.

But til then, here is a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon for your enjoyment.

Definitely describes the life of a college student....well....any student really.

Sunday....muy bueno.

Sneak Peak.
To be continued.....tomorrow.

Blah.

Pins of the Week...

If only I could say this wasn't true....
But it would be a lie.
Attractive guy = awkward me.
Every stinking time.

Never....just never.

Dude....
I do that all of the time.
But it mostly comes before something moderately unimportant.

Word.
I really want to paste this on any Facebook picture I deem in violation.
It would be awesome.
If only I could post it anonymously.

Possibly the truest thing ever spoken.
Something I believe needs to be done almost every other day.
And that's okay.

Adorable.
I want to spread the cuteness....

Burnt Out...

I have gotten lazy.

It is so close to the end of the semester that all of my motivation is gone....

I am officially burnt out...so I am going to sum up Friday and Saturday in one post.

Friday:

Culinary class filled up most of my morning. We cooked vegetables and starches today and let's just say rice pilaf is awesome.....and roasted brussel sprouts are....ehhh....

Then I walked home.....and me and Sarah walked to Sammy's.

I got the Sammy's Masterpiece burger, which was loaded with barbecue sauce, bacon, pepper-jack cheese, and lots of love, and sweet potato fries.

It was super yummy.

I think I have a new addiction to these things.....

I used to hate the after taste, but drench them in ranch and you have supreme goodness.

Drench them in carmel.....you have perfection and bite size french toast.

I know it might sound odd......but try it.

After our adventure, Friday night consisted of homework, reheated rice pilaf, parental phone call, laundry, more homework, and falling asleep in the hallway with Quinci to Return to Me.

And let's just say.....she left me sleeping on the hard ground for who knows how many hours while she slept in her wonderful comfy bed....

Not cool....I think so. :)

Saturday:

Today was so nice.....the sun woke me up....I got ready leisurely.....I made breakfast.....it was good.

Until I thought about everything that is due next week.

Then I freaked out.....

But soon, Quinci and I were off to the Crossroads with our Subway in hand.

Did we get any homework done, you ask?

Why yes.....yes we did. I just don't think the amount we got done is comparable to the amount of work we still have to accomplish.

Aw well.....that is what college is all about right?

After three hours of being incredibly "studious", we took a break and walked to Broulims to get us provisions for our awesome picnic on Sunday.

On our way, these awesome girls stopped us.....and offered us free Kiwi Loco.

And, of course, we had to accept.

We were so excited that when we were done shopping for our goodies, we went strait there.

And loaded up with Orange Sorbet.....or rather heavenly goodness as I would like to describe it.

mmmmm.....so good.

Then we walked back home, where we were invited to taste food from the country of Jordan. It was definitely different than what I have had before, but I loved the salad.

I couldn't eat that much though.....because I honestly felt like I was going to blow up.

More homework commenced after that....with liberal breaks in between. To liberal on my part......

Then after an hours worth of progress on my essay, me and Sarah went to the cheap theater.

We saw Sherlock Holmes. It was my second time....

But it was equally as awesome.

I don't think I could be more smitten with Robert Downey Jr. than now....

Ode to the Games....

So guess what?

Today is the day my whole young life has been waiting for.

Well....at least since the last Harry Potter movie.

That was a sad, lovely day.

(Harry I miss you......so much.)

But today is awesome.

Today is the eve of the premiere of.....

THE HUNGER GAMES!

Yes.....yes.

Be excited. I know I am.

I cannot wait to see it.

Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson look good. I just hope they can live up to the book.

Especially Peeta cause lets face it.....

He is what made the books awesome.

Well...except for the story line of couse.

You know, until right at this moment,
I haven't really felt that much excitement for the movie.

But now, my stomach is fluttering and I am pretty darn excited.

But alas, I have to wait.

Finals week is approaching and I have pretty much no time.

So I have set a date with myself.

April 9.

I will get up, doll myself up, pick myself up,
treat myself with some candy from target, and then I will watch this movie
all by myself.

And swoon at the sight of Josh Hutcherson as Peeta.

And it will be awesome.

So, America...

May the Odds Be Ever in Your Favor.

Happy Hunger Games.....

Sunny in the burg...

I developed my first roll of film today.

Thanks to the kind lab assistant they actually turned out right.

I probably asked for her help like 50 times. I knew I should have written down the instructions when my teacher was describing what to do.

Why does my brain ignore the mighty-smart promptings that pop in....?

Oh, thats right. It is because I'm lazy.

After my developing mission was accomplished, I walked back home, had some toast, and then watched a video for my religion class.

I would like to say I remained awake for the whole thing, but.......my eyes were so tired. So tired.....

Nap time is as productive as doing homework, right?

Walking to class, walking all around Rexburg to find something interesting to take a picture of, walking too slow for the joggers that wanted to pass me, walking home, and walking to Sara Jo's for a Mary Kay party filled the rest of the afternoon.

Rexburg is getting harder to photograph. I feel like I have taken a picture of its every little attribute.....in walking distance of course.

But, nevertheless, it felt really good. Alone time is nice, especially when it involves me, my music, the glorious beams from the sun, and my camera.

Ahhh.....it felt wonderful.

Monumental....

Monumental Moment:

I unloaded my first roll of film from a film camera today.

I was so nervous.

At first, I thought the camera was malfunctioning.

It would not do anything.

But then I realized the problem was me.

So I decided to turn to YouTube.

And, thanks to an awesome person, I re-learned
what I should have learned from my teachers instruction.

Oops....

Maybe that will teach me to listen in class more.....

Hmmmm....novel idea.

Hallo...

Today....winter finally found it's way to the burg.

And burgggggggggg......it was COLD and oh so WINDY.

It snowed for almost the entire day and let me tell you, cameras and snow do not mix well.

Bethany and snow don't mix well.

Unless she doesn't have class and she can just sit by the window in her pajamas with her cup of hot chocolate, her favorite Blankie, Billie, and an awesome book.

Then Bethany and snow would definitely see eye to eye.

But alas......that didn't happen.

I trudged to classes and then trudged back to my apartment.

I then commenced washing the dishes and watching "Once Upon a Time".

During this awesome sud fest, Emma came in with a package........and GUESS WHAT?

It was for me!!!

I almost wet my pants when I saw it.

Mis padres are awesome.

They supply me with a life supply of Starburst Jellybeans.

I knew there was some reason I loved them. ;)

I love packages and on normal days I would have ripped into those jellybeans as soon as I saw them, but the snow has made my mind unintelligent.

So I went on a walk instead. My mission was to find some awesome things to take pictures of, but on my little excursion I took about a total of 5 pictures.

That is a new low for me.....

But I did find this little jewel.

I find it disturbingly amazing how morbidly snowmen are being presented these days.

They used to be so happy.....now......they are subjected to the imaginations of bored cooped up college students.

Yep.....makes perfect sense.

Do you have any potatoes? What are those?

Pins of the Week...

Possibly the only way I will ever get a guy.
Because, let's be honest....
My middle name is awkward.
and awesome.
Eh....I'll be okay.

Mustard Yellow.
My latest addiction.
Isn't the color amazing?
I keep on looking for a mustard skirt.
But....I think destiny is against me.
Darn you.

True?
Very.
Happens every time.

Nothing more to be said.

Happy Sunday!

Saint Pat's...

Hiya.

Confession.

I love Saint Patrick's Day.

It all started....

Wait.

I really have no idea how it started.

I just love it.

I love Ireland and anything else associated with it.

Except drinking.....and beer.

Eww....

And just so you know, I'm not Irish.

Okay....maybe 0.005%, but that doesn't really count.

I do secretly wish I had an Irish accent and red hair though.

It would be awesome.

Best Moment:

Quinci gave me a treat.

At 11:00 at night.

Her mom made it.

I think it is possibly the most awesome idea ever.

Made my day.

Thanks Quinci's mom.

And of course, Quinci.

:)

Oh....Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!

Spinach...and Cupcakes.

6:30 a.m.: first alarm goes off.....
6:45 a.m.: second alarm goes off......
7:20 a.m.: Bethany realizes it 25 minutes before her class starts.....
7:21 a.m.: Bethany JUMPS off her bed.....

I slept through my alarms again, but then I guess I should check whether or not my alarms are silenced before I go to bed.

Oops....

But thanks to my skills at speed changing and not caring what I look like, I made it to class on time.

Today in cooking class we made soup.....spinach and green onion soup to be exact, which at first sounded kind of gross.

But I have to admit, I secretly love watching spinach wilt in a pot. Try it...you will love it.

Then I came home. and took a nap. because my body is exhausted. Still.

But the nap fueled me for Kristin, Emma, and my trip to Cocoa Bean.

I was in need of a pick me up. A fruity pick up....and thankfully, Cocoa Bean had the exact prescription available.

A Berry Bliss cupcake and a Passion Fruit- Watermelon Italian Soda and Kristin and Emma.

 It was awesome.

Thank you, Cocoa Bean. For the memories, the smiles, and the sweet goodness you offer in your store.

My emotional health has increased since my visit.....
