Delayed.

Did you know that when you wear your uniform four days a week, it suddenly becomes the only outfit you are used to looking at yourself in?

And when you try anything else on, it looks like crap.

Except for sweats, of course. Those are always nice.

Yeah.....that's where I'm at.

Pins of Last Week.

The Hulk and Ironman.
Could their be a pair more in harmony?
Honestly....I don't think so.

You know, maybe there could be a pair with more harmony.
Because Oreos and S'mores sound like an award winning combination.
Kudos to whoever thought this up.
It's beautiful....

Hehe...
Cheers to the tiny pool of British actors.
Without you, I...
Ya know, I don't really want to think about that conclusion.

Truth.
I can't wait for the next season of Psych.
Awesome Crimes.
Two Goofy guys.
Incredibly witty lines.
Yes...that's where it's at.

Mutual weirdness?
I like that.

Hangin' with ma peeps....

Working is hard. Especially when working two ten hour shifts in a row.

It is exhausting and emotionally draining.

So it is nice to have Sunday to myself.

A day to recuperate and charge my battery back up.

A day to lay in my backyard with the sun warming my whole body for twenty minutes.

The back of my legs thankfully didn't get burned. :)

A day to witness my nephew's baby blessing.

A day to hang out with my family.

A day to cook dinner with my niece and eat trail mix.

A day to just sit and do nothing.

And a day to make S'mores with sugared marshmallows.

Peeps to be exact.

I saw this on Pinterest and immediately knew I had to try it.

When I found it like four months ago, I immediately called my dad up and told him we had to save some peeps to make some when I got home.

And we have been trying to find a time to do them with the grandkids ever since.

And today happen to be the day.

It was fun and delicious.

A day like this makes life seem worth it.

Sleepy...

I finally know what this feels like.

Probably the only two things my brain thinks about now and days is payday and sleep.

Girls. It's Raining Men.

Pinterest was running a little low on inspiration for me this week.

So I decided I would just dedicate this weeks pins to Jane Austen because she is just the epitome of awesomeness....just like Tony Stark.

But I couldn't find anything really awesome that wouldn't make me look like I am completely infatuated with everything Jane Austen related.

I guess thats a given hence my dedicatory post.

Finally, after a few hours of searching endlessly, I found this.

And deemed it pretty awesome.

You are Elizabeth Bennet of Pride & Prejudice! You are intelligent, witty, and tremendously attractive. You have a good head on your shoulders, and oftentimes find yourself the lone beacon of reason in a sea of ridiculousness. You take great pleasure in many things. You are proficient in nearly all of them, though you will never own it. Lest you seem too perfect, you have a tendency toward prejudgement that serves you very ill indeed.

It's a quiz.

To find out what character you are.

Most of the time I would say these quizzes don't come out with very accurate results and are silly, but I thought they did a pretty good job here.

You must take it.

Come on. You know you want to. :)

And here's another little treat for you.

An awesome video showing the eternal awesomeness of all period films.

I, for one, think it is hilarious. I can't help but giggle each time I watch this.

And ogle, but that is secondary.

Must sleep....must.

Sometimes when I'm tired, words just don't come to my brain.

Neither do witty anecdotes or amusing remarks.

My brain is just thinking, Go to bed.....Go to bed.....Close your eyes.....Nothing else matters.....Go to Bed.

But I will strive to make this awesome.

Before 1st day of Work (Tuesday):

Going to work sounded exciting.

It sounded like it had a lot of benefits. Getting out of the house, making some money, going up on the top of Pikes Peak.

The idea appealed to me.

Tucked in shirts don't though, but I'll get over that hopefully. Neither does getting up at 6:00 am just to get ready.

But working sounded good.

After Work:

Ughhhhhh..... about sums it up.

When I got home, I was exhausted.

I didn't want to do anything but lay on the couch and moan because every inch of me hurt.

I think my hurts even had aches.

It was a great learning experience though and since then, for the last 4 days, I have learned so much.

Like how sleep is the greatest blessing the Lord has given me.

How water makes your bladder explode.

How I can't whistle on top of a 14,000 foot tall mountain.

How I sound Texan.

How Pikes Peak makes their awesome donuts.

How beautiful Colorado looks from up on the Summit.

Yeah.

Life doesn't get better than this.

Well....unless more sleeping hours were included in the day.

Dead Eleven.

It's eleven at night and I'm dead tired.

Dead tired. I could sleep for a good year.

So the summary of my first few days at work will have to wait.

Until tomorrow, I hope.

Until then, here's something special.

Something that I have been longing to show you.

Yep...

That is definitely what you think it is.

My dad found it yesterday.

One reason to call him the best dad ever.

I think so....

Oxygen Tank Engaged...

Top 6 Most Awesome Things of the Day.

1. An hour and a half nap at 8:30 a.m. that was the BEST sleep I have ever gotten since I've been home. I wish it could have lasted all day long.

2. The book that I've wanted came into the library today after a month. Yay!

3. Found out that my first day of work is tomorrow. Training here I come.

4. Saw my nephew compete in his last track meet of the season. I have to say he was pretty super awesome.

5. Found three more Avenger cups!! Now all I have to do is find Iron Man....
That one seems a little unattainable at the moment. Everyone seems to have grabbed them first.
Why, oh why must he be so popular?
But I will persist....I must persist.

6. Bones had the greatest season finale ever...and the most horrible one. I have never been more mad, scared, and sad. Let's just say, I cannot wait until the fall.
Darn you Bones creators.
Darn you.

Perry the Puss.

First and foremost on this delightful Mother's day, I would like to dedicate my first pin of the week to mi madre.

Thanks, Mom.

For everything you do to help me and support me.

I know I am blessed to have a mother that is so wonderful.

Now on to the
Pins of the Week.

I love Muddy Buddies.
The chocolate gooeyness set by a layer of fine powdered
sugar makes my taste buds squeal in delight.
So when I found these, you can imagine my joy.
Because I think I could love these even more then Muddy Buddies.
They are made with Jello. Fruity Jello.
I love fruity foods.

Hehehe.....I thought this was funny.
But then I got to thinking...
I wish I could apply this to moths.
They keep on flying into my windshield like suicide bombers.
Leaving all of their gushy remains behind on my windshield.
But then I remember how gross revenge would be.
I'll just stick to birds.

Avenger goodness.
Enough said.

My life's story.
Maybe, at some point, bravery will become part of my nature.
Maybe.

Honestly.
I mean, let's measure that piece of wood out.
It definitely could have held him, too.
And I think the movie would have been just as good.

Definitely a sweet truth.
That's why I'm waiting.

Three things I know for sure:

1. Jane Austen was a smart woman.
2. The whiff of air you get as you walk into a Barnes and Noble
is one of the greatest scents on this planet.
3. Books are like little blessings of understanding and knowledge.
It is beautiful, how words can do that.

b.

Laziness.

So I've been lazy and neglectful.

Blame it on the library and Netflix.

And my lack of creativity this week or my want to be creative.

Either one.

So here is a catch-up post. Ready.....

Action.

Friday:

My nephew turned seven.

Seven years old.

Man....and I'm only twenty.

It just seems too crazy for me to wrap my head around.

But he is totally awesome....

And a complete daredevil....

He makes me smile.

So we went to a little birthday celebration for him. It was great.

Happy Birthday, Austin!

Saturday

Woke up to the sound of my mother calling on the phone.

At 8:30 a.m.

Way too early for this old lady to even consider getting up.

Nevertheless, I trudged down stairs to hand the phone over to my dad and then helped myself to some of the goodness he concocted minutes before.

Then, we went to see the Avengers again. I just can't get enough of their amazing attractiveness and awesomeness.

I mean, when I see them standing together as one in the fighting scene, I cannot help, but yearn to be one of them.

From there, we ran to the Apple doctors. Not the fruit, but the company.

My three year old Mac is having a breakdown so we took it in for a checkup. Thankfully....nothing needed to be replaced at the moment. Hopefully, Mac can make it for at least another year.

Wal-mart was next on our to do list.

And while looking at all of the Mother's Day flowers strewed out everywhere, we found THESE.

Yes. They are little kid's Avenger party cups.

I have made a sworn vow to collect all of them because.....

I just really really want to.

So for the next week I will be scouring every Wal-Mart party section in a thirty mile radius.

I will find all of them. I will.

Chicken Fajitas, Dishes, and two episodes of Supernatural while exercising were the remaining events of the day.

Cut.

Thats a wrap.

You've just been falafeled.

Tuesday:

This is what I did today.

Yes. I read a book.

Not the most productive thing I could do, but hey, it's summer and my job hasn't started yet.

So....I'm improvising.

And borrowing an over excessive amount of books from the library.

Did I mention how much I LOVE the library?

It has been my best friend since I have been home.

But then, my friends Vanessa and Maddie suggested going on an outing.

Sadly....I didn't get their text until two hours later.

My texting skills are getting worse.

Thankfully, when I got back to them, they hadn't left yet!

So we all hopped into a car and headed to Panera Bread.

Where I got a Wild Berry Smoothie.

With one of the biggest straws I've ever seen.

I almost mistook it for a mini telescope.

And so I spied innocently...until my friend told me that it might look a little creepy.

Oops....

I'll just use it as a lightsaber from now on then.

From Panera, we headed to Gordmans to look for Mother's Day presents.

Instead, we found:

Super short prom dresses.

70's outrageous stretchy bell-bottomed pants.

Feather earrings that were 8 inches long.

Seriously....I measured.

And super awesome flameless candles.

Needless to say, we have learned that finding gifts for our mothers is not easy.

So we headed back home.....

Made a quick trip to Safeway.

Bought some milk and cookies.

Shure, Bert! Oreo cookies to be exact.

They were a little weird at first, but I have to say, they did taste like sherbet.

Then we played Mario Party until midnight.

On the Wii.

With British accents.

It was pretty stellar.

Might Owe Czar Gold...

Pins of the Week....

Ya know, I never thought about this til now.
But I would have to agree.
Any love story is better than Twilight's.
And that is coming from a person who was Twilight obsessed.
Yeah. Those were my mentally ill days.
I regret them.

Hah...
I wish this wasn't true.

Let me get this straight.
There is hope for a person like me?
Wow...
An unparalleled sense of relief just swept through me.
I can't believe I spent all this time thinking my sarcasm and raiding skills were unattractive.
Thank You. :)

I couldn't resist.

Dude....
Brilliant explanation.

I have an irrational love for Iron Man.
Don't ask me why.
Because I have no idea.
Nor could I explain it in words.
I just think he's awesome.

b.

** Hint. Hint. The title of this post is a Mad Gab.
See if you can sound out the secret message... :)

Oh. My. Avengers.

There are moments in my life where I have wished I could climb on my roof and scream something that the entire world could hear.

These moments don't occur too often. I usually don't get unreasonably excited for something.

But today was one of those moments.

And it was all because of these guys:

This movie was unbelievable.

I thought it was going to be good when I went in, but my expectations where shattered due to the awesomeness of this movie.

The visual effects were utterly electrifying, the action was amazing, the dialogue and the filmography was captivating, and the actors were oh so..... delicious?

I am craving to see this movie at least five more times in theaters.

It was all I could have hoped for and far more than I ever could have imagined.

Yeah.....it was that awesome.

Happy Star Wars Day!

May the Force be with You.

Hey Biff....

Cue Trumpet.

Clear throat.

Is the microphone working?

Ah....yes.

Good evening, Ladies and Gents.

Beth here with a super awesome announcement.

I got a job.

Where?

On the top of Pikes Peak.

Yep....I will be working on top of a 14,110 foot summit.

Cooking food and making donuts.

Pretty awesome.

Today was my orientation.

And I made a very special friend.

Let me introduce you.

Readers. This is Biff.

Biff stood behind me through the entire orientation.

He wasn't very talkative.

But he is very efficient at lurking....

and scaring the living daylights out of me every time I walked into the room
or glanced behind my chair.

But he is pretty modelesque though, no?

I have to admit....

I miss him already.

His hands are always reaching...

Got the New Conference Ensign!!!

I am super excited to study it.

I am so thankful for revelation and the love the Lord has for us.

He has magic hands.

Monday was movie night.

Heather and me went to see Titanic in 3-D.

I've never seen it before.

Weird?

I know.

We almost didn't make it though because Heather slammed her thumb in her car door.

When I went to the door, blood was everywhere.

And she was calm.

I would have freaked out, fainted  in the middle of the road.

But, thank goodness, we took care of it.

And we made it.

And we sat through Titanic laughing, commenting, and ogling.

Leo had it going on back in the 90's.

He was cute.

and charming.

When I first agreed to see the movie, I didn't realize how long it actually is.

I mean, 3 and a half hours.

Whoo Whee.

But it was fun and enjoyable.

I loved splaying out on the theater chairs and just kicking back.

Something in me kind of wants to see it again.
